If you’ve recently driven down the newly extended Tustin Ranch Road near the District at Tustin Legacy, you probably noticed a lot of new construction going on. Currently the wood frames are up for a couple of apartment communities that are slated to be available this Fall 2014:
1) Amalfi Apartments – This new apartment community will be located near the corner of Park Ave. and Tustin Ranch Road. It will be managed by The Irvine Company Apartment Communities. According to the City of Tustin, building permits for 533 units have been issued for build-out. For more info, check out this community’s website at: http://www.irvinecompanyapartments.com/Communities/Amalfi.
2) Anton Legacy Apartment Homes – This new apartment community will be located along Tustin Ranch Road just north of Warner Ave. According to the City of Tustin, building permits for 225 affordable multi-family residential units have been obtained. This project is being developed by St. Anton Partners. For more info, visit this community’s website at: http://antonlegacy.com .
According to the City of Tustin, Standard Pacific Residential Development will be spearheading a project to bring 375 new residential homes to Tustin Legacy. The communities within this neighborhood have been called Sheldon, Crawford, Greenwood, and Stafford. This neighborhood will be located north of Warner Ave. and east of Tustin Ranch Road, just east of the Anton Legacy Apartments.
With all these new homes coming to Tustin, it will be interesting to see all the new businesses, recreation, entertainment, and restaurants to follow. New streets will finally open up as well, accommodating the new residents to come and hopefully relieving traffic congestion that normally happens along Red Hill, Jamboree, Harvard, and Warner.
What is to become of existing neighborhoods at Columbus Grove, Columbus Square, Tustin Field I and Tustin Field II? As a homeowner in the area myself, I believe that many of my neighbors are relieved that progress is finally being made around Tustin Legacy. Our neighborhoods are now becoming more “established,” and personally I enjoy having such great access to amenities in Irvine, Tustin, and Santa Ana. I believe these homes will continue to be desirable because the floor plans and features are unique to these areas, and the location of these homes is prime for so many people.
