Tustin Legacy Update – August 2011

This is Issue #2 of the "Tustin Legacy News" that I received in the mail recently as a resident and homeowner at Columbus Grove.

As a resident and homeowner at Columbus Grove, I received a newsletter in the mail called “Tustin Legacy News” very recently.  It was Issue #2 for Summer 2011, and although it hasn’t been published on the official website for Tustin Legacy, I included my personal copy here:

TustinLegacy_Newsletter_Summer2011

The newsletter describes the next steps in the development of Tustin Legacy, which was seemingly on hold for several months due to changes in the master developer and dealing with the large economic changes going on in real estate within the past few years.  It also highlights the Tustin Ranch Road construction, which we can now see happening as we drive along Edinger between Jamboree and Red Hill.  A fire station is also in the works, along with a community park and discussions of a regional park as well.  Further housing development includes two more projects at Columbus Square (“Augusta” and “Mirabella”), as well as the continuation of “Ainsley Park” over at Columbus Grove.  New senior apartments will also be constructed over at Columbus Square.

The Tustin Legacy website includes much more information about this area and a lot of “FAQ’s” that I have found to be very helpful.  Here are some key links to areas within the Tustin Legacy website that I found particularly interesting:

1)  The homes at Tustin Legacy are not without Mello-Roos attached them.  Here is a link to some FAQ’s about the Community Facilities District (CFD’s) that affects the homeowners in Tustin Field I, Tustin Field II, Columbus Grove, and Columbus Square.

2)  Here is a list of next steps expected at Tustin Legacy.

3)  For those who are looking for more housing here at Tustin Legacy, here is some more info on new residential development.

4)  Here is some history behind Tustin Legacy/Former MCAS Tustin.
